with my roots laid in Spain

For me, Yoga is not just a form of exercise but a way of life.

Yoga has helped me to heal long-term injuries and has given me a profound sense of empowerment and freedom. It has helped me with realising who I really am.

About my classes and my training...

With a regular practice and a love for yoga that has spanned since I was I little child, the natural progression was for me to train as a yoga teacher. I completed my training in Ashtanga Vinyasa in 2015 and since then I have been teaching and doing many additional trainings. 
In 2020, I completed my second teacher training and I am now a certified Anusara Elements Yoga Teacher.

All of these training courses have deeply enriched my practice and teachings and given me confidence to guide others in the practice of yoga and to find the best within themselves.

My classes aim to:

Be "Cre-active" fun and caring.

  

Enable people to connect deeply with both stillness and movement in their bodies.

Create clarity and clearness in the mind.

 

Incorporate a theme for my students to use as a contemplation point and help them take yoga off the mat and beyond the classroom.

I love sharing this ancient wisdom of yoga. Yoga found me and helped me grow into the person I am today. It brings joy into my life, freedom into my body and connects me to my more spiritual side. Having experienced for myself the transformational benefits of the yoga practice, I would like to share my knowledge and experience with others. I hope to help people live authentic lives wherever they are, finding freedom through practice both on and off the mat.

I have no words to express how good I felt after attending this course and incorporating a meditation slot in daily care routine. But here are some facts how my well-being has improved:

 

- sleeping: it has increased in about 1.5 hour with an average of 2.15 hours of deep sleep.

 

-stress: at work, at home, as I am sleeping better my mind is clearer and my thoughts kinder to myself, helping me to deal with stress in a calmer way, to identify the issues and look for solutions.

 

-phobias and fears: facing them by dealing with my thoughts in a gentle manner by gradually exposing myself in a safe and controlled way. Breathing and smiling and taking small steps.

I absolutely enjoy Lorena's pregnancy yoga classes. Although I have done yoga for many years, I found myself struggling how to adapt my practice when I got pregnant. I was really scared whether I would be doing something wrong, so I was very glad to join the classes already from the end of my first trimester. 

Lorena's classes really helped me not only to modify the postures where needed, but also to gain a lot of new confidence in my changing body. 

I also really value the personal connection with her and the other participants - especially in the current times where social contact is so limited. I would highly recommend the classes to everybody - beginners and regular yogis alike.

Thank you very much for a brilliant meditation course, it was really great!! 

 

I took away a lot of useful things, like the difference between mindfulness and meditation and how they each have a role on the journey, and the different meditation techniques. I also really like how you manage to make it uncomplicated (particularly helpful for someone like me who tends to overthink things) and thereby more "accessible" - doable, which has helped me to incorporate techniques more easily into routines. 

 

And on a more personal level, your have such a soothing tone and amazing voice, and the ability to make the whole concept relatable.

Lorena has such a beautiful way of teaching. She shares many meditation techniques, so if you are finding your practice challenging I can assure you that you will find ways on this course to help you! The Mini sound bath last session was such a treat.

This course has given me an understanding of the different kinds of meditation, and helped me to see which ones are best for me.

The calm delivery of the course and the practical information given to participants was very helpful and interesting. The course really inspired me to want to meditate every day. I would definitely recommend this course to others.

I just wanted to extend a huge thank you to you, for putting in such a fantastic meditation course. I really gained a lot, but it also gave me an excuse to sit down for an hour, away from any distractions, and be mindful. I thoroughly enjoyed every minute. And the sound bath this evening! Fantastic! I've been to one of your sound baths before, and I've been looking forward to yoga reading opening so I can reattend one again. So it was a great surprise to have participated in one this evening :-)

Thank you for the session on Monday and I have been trying to do some of your suggested homework of mindful walking throughout lockdown and will make sure I do some more before Monday.   In fact I first really noticed that concept 12 months ago when following a hip replacement I was on crutches for a couple of weeks and enforced go-slow and definitely, there is so much pleasure just noticing a plant in a front garden, or really checking the layout of the paving stones.  Of course it is not always possible when brisk walking to work but I agree good to do at times. I like the 5 4 3 2 1 model as a structure and to think of the other senses.

 

And I really like your little bell at the end of this and your yoga classes as a way to bring us back.

In my life I have practiced yoga and meditation on and off for a long time.I have had good and bad teachers. I've always been able to enjoy sitting physically still but in contrast have always struggled with the observation of my thoughts and the stilling of my mind. I have done two sessions with you and I have learnt more about the 'way' to meditate than in all my previous experience. I like the way you have explained the practical side of meditation, you  have answered the little questions I've never felt confident to ask about before with other people,  and you have answered them without being asked! Your explanation of the 5 types of meditation was particularly helpful, and I love the tasks you give at the end of the session to see us through to the next week. I've found I'm actually looking forward to meditating and practicing it by myself. It's turned into a therapy for me now rather than a process. I feel like your course so far have taken my practice to the next level and I really look forward to Monday evenings. I will be most disappointed when the course is over - I will want more-  thank you Lorena 🙏🏽🌱
